Fees are payable on the day of consultation by credit card, EFTPOS, or cash. Please note that Private Health Insurance companies do NOT pay for outpatient consultation fees.
The Medicare rebate can be paid directly into your bank account IF you are eligible AND you have a valid doctor's referral letter prior to your appointment. You will receive your funds in 3 to 5 working days. Reduced Fees are available for pensioners and health care card holders. A cancellation fee is payable for appointments cancelled less than 24 hours prior to appointment or for an appointment you have failed to attend. |

New consultation (up to 30 minutes): $180 (minus $72.75 Medicare rebate)
Review consultation (15 minutes): $90 (minus $36.55 Medicare rebate) Prolonged Consultation (more than 30 minutes): $250 (minus $72.75 Medicare rebate) Rigid Sigmoidoscopy (Office Procedure): $60 (minus $40.70 Medicare rebate) Haemorrhoid Banding (Office Procedure): $250 (minus Medicare rebate $57.40) Pensioners and Health Care Card Holders:

Procedures for Insured patients in at a Public Hospital
No Gap (i.e. fee is charged to insurance company with no out of pocket. Procedures for Insured patients at a Private Hospital Fees vary according to your Health Insurance company. A fee estimate will be provided before your procedure. In general a Gap fee is payable for most Health Funds, but will not exceed $500 per procedure. No fee is charged for readmission or reoperation. Procedures for non-Insured patients at a Private Hospital A fee estimate may be provided on request. Please consider that there may be unexpected hospital, radiology and pathology fees. Prepayment is required for Surgery (including surgical assistant's fee) and Anaesthetic fees. |
